Rescue

Thousands of pure-bred Sibes are adandoned, lost, or dumped at animal shelters each year. Just as many are euthanized ( put to sleep) each year at animal shelters. Too many new owners don't do their research on the breed and how much effort is involved to take care of them. When they realize their newly acquired Sibe is high maintenence, they drop them off at the animal shelter or don't look for them when they make their next escape.

Any pet is an addition to the family not a piece of property to be discarded when rough times are met. Many quality and caring people who understand this and the breed have started rescue organizations to rehome these Sibes to more responsible and forever homes.

If you are considering adding a Sibe to your family you should contact your local rescue group. They can help you find that special Sibe that will make a great addition to your life. There are all different ages, genders and colors to choose from. If you don't know how to contact your local Sibe rescue organization check out these great rescue websites. If they aren't in your area they will gladly point you to one that is.
